Beck formerly worked as a legal assistant at Covington & Burling in Washington, D.C. He then earned his juris doctorate from the University of Maryland School of Law, where he served as a staff editor for the Journal of Race, Religion, Gender & Class and sat on the executive board of the Moot Court Board. At the University of Maryland, Beck was the recipient of the James H. Rosner award for advocacy and joined the Phi Delta Phi scholastic fraternity.
Beck was admitted to the Connecticut Bar in October 2006. Prior to joining the firm, he served as a Legal Research Clerk to the Judges of the Connecticut Superior Court.
