STAMFORD, CT – (January 15, 2010) – Attorney Joseph “Jay” Arcata presented a national webinar to insurance lawyers on January 15, 2010 regarding the impact of D.R. Horton-Texas, Ltd. v. Markel Int’l Ins. Co., Ltd. (Tex. Dec. 11, 2009). In this recent decision, the Texas Supreme Court held that an insurer had a duty to indemnify its insured even where there was no duty to defend. The objective of the webinar was to alert insurance lawyers of the facts and ramifications of this case and to develop proactive strategies in dealing with this issue in the future.
